Amazon is the biggest e-commerce online store. There are numerous affiliate marketplaces in the world: many bloggers and large enterprises use Amazon to sell their products. Their affiliate program pays you up to 8.5% of the sale amount and, depending on what kind of deal you are making, it’s a good way to make big money.
This is especially accurate if you are a tech blogger. You can write a comprehensive review of a device (mobile, camera) and add an Amazon affiliate link. By spending few minutes of your time and finding the best mobile deal, you can add extraordinary income.
Why is Amazon Preferable over any other Affiliate Program?
I am a big fan of Amazon associate program because once you send a visitor to the Amazon store, then the rest of the work will be completed by Amazon site. If you ever have made a visit to this site, then you cannot leave this place unless you have a feeling to make something for purchase.
Another important thing is once you send a visitor to Amazon through your iPhone affiliate links but that visitor have bought a laptop, you will be equally rewarded for that purchase.
Reasons Why Amazon is Still the Best:
Amazon is a trusted and popular brand– Everyone understands Amazon. If someone was going to purchase online, Amazon would have to be one of the reliable options.
Commissions on higher value products – while 4% of a book isn’t a great commission if you promote a high-value product (like a camera, diamond) the commission can be nice.
People buy numerous items at a time– When you forward someone to Amazon, you earn a commission on whatever they buy. Many people load up their cart with various items so revenue can add up.
Easy integration – Amazon gives some good tools and widgets to support you integrate the sales channel into your website.
Holidays are boom times– Amazon runs some good seasonal sales. Thanksgiving to Christmas can be a particularly effective time to promote.
Amazon has a broad range of products– Amazon has millions of product from every aspect of life. There are so many promotional opportunities that most niches would presumably find something relevant to their audience. Even it is far easier to rank Amazon site on Google because there are many unveiled niches that one can target. Moreover, there is no need to build too many links.
Negatives to be considered:
The common causes I listen people giving for not being an Amazon associate include:
- The commission’s rate are too small. They begin at 4% and for most products can go as high as 8.5% depending upon how many products you sold.
- Because most people on Amazon buy low valued products like books, so 4% of a $10 product doesn’t add up to a good commission.
- Because people have to make a purchase from your affiliate link within 24 hours, otherwise your affiliate cookie ends working.
Certainly, I’ll never claim that Amazon’s Affiliate program (or any other income stream for that matter) is perfect for each blog – but I do think it is worth considering.
